Pregnancy recipe : Simple Steamed Fish

Image
Here's a simple recipe I'd like to share. It's not meant specifically for pregnant ladies, but since pregnant women's throat may not accept a lot of spicy dishes(my experience)..steamed & soups go the other way round,  it usually gets down pretty well. And fish tastes great when steamed .I can't tolerate the taste of poultry much when I'm conceiving, so I go for fishes and Alhamdulillah , it tastes better than ever. Ingredients: Fish (You could use either barammundi @ seabass ( siakap ) , black/white pomfret ( bawal ). Here I'd be using seabass. 1 big onion ~ finely sliced 1 turmeric root (thumb sized) ~ finely chopped 1 thumb-sized ginger~ finely chopped 3 cloves of garlic~ finely chopped Few strands of spring onions~ chopped coarsely Few  pinches of salt & pepper  **You could add sliced chili, but in this recipe I am not using any as I don't fancy the taste** Method: Prepare the steamer, add water, bring to boil. Put the fish onto a ...

Coconut macaroons-making it sugarless

Image
French; macaron , Italian; maccarone ,here; macaroon. So, what;s up with this confectionery that's causing a craze in the society lately. Could it be due to it's astonishing vibrant colors and it's extreme sweetness? Personally I don't think macaroons are suitable for all ages, and totally should be consumed not more than once a month. Those are macaroons, coconut macaroons looks less appealing and safer. This recipe I'm sharing, sugar-less, doesn't it sounds a lot better? Maybe not, but make it a yes. I think macaroons are great, but as a mum, I prefer something milder for my kid. And when you're mixing the batter in your own kitchen, you're more likely to prepare a healthier meal for the family, and you are the one with the upper hand of what goes in and what does not into your meals. This is one of the reasons why home cooking should not be neglected. Coconut macaroon, even without sugar tastes great, and with all the extra sugar we are already co...

Macaroni & Triple Cheese , Just like the old times...with a little bit more..

Image
Don't we all just love macaroni and cheese? I know I do. I love the sticky cheesy part most, when it comes hot, freshly baked from the oven. But as time moves on, one type of cheese is not enough, so, here's a recipe where three types of cheese are used to indulge ourselves with that creamy melts of cheese inside our mouths. Brings us back ages when we were just little kids, blissful, free and no problems would mess our heads. Yeah. Don't worry, we'll be using appropriate amounts of each one so that this meal wouldn't be burdening our health. There are instant packs available, but instant food? Making your own sounds more hearty and edible. It's a piece of cake, why would anyone go for the instant packs anyway. This recipe is free of any animal products, if you like you can add in chicken strips or tuna chunks.  Mozzarella,                   Parmesan,                    Cheddar. In...

You only need a few stuff.here have a look:- 1.Four pieces of avocados, skinned. 2.A couple of peeled bananas. 3.One-two spoonful of brown sugar. 4.A glass of milk. That is all what's needed in this smoothie recipe. And to make it, just toss all the ingredients into a blender, and its ready to serve. Please drink A.S.A.P. Once the fruits are cut and peeled its enzymes and nutrients gradually diminishes, and less than 3 hours all nutrients will be loss. So make it and drink immediately for an optimized benefit if not your smoothie defeats its purpose and all you get is a mouthful of sweetness, no value. **For more of great and healthy smoothie recipes please click here....> **  I just have to put a lot of smoothie snap shots for this entry...
