Vitamin B9(Folic acid / folate) - Vital in the first trimester of pregnancy

Vitamin B9, also known as folic acid(synthetic form) or folate(found in natural food sources). Vitamin B9 is greatly needed in the 1st trimester of pregnancy to prevent neural tube defects to the growing baby. It's highly recommended that mom in early stages of pregnancy increase the intake of Vitamin B9 to avoid any defects and for an overall healthy condition of the fetus.
