Pregnancy recipe : Simple Steamed Fish
Here's a simple recipe I'd like to share. It's not meant specifically for pregnant ladies, but since pregnant women's throat may not accept a lot of spicy dishes(my experience)..steamed & soups go the other way round, it usually gets down pretty well.
And fish tastes great when steamed .I can't tolerate the taste of poultry much when I'm conceiving, so I go for fishes and Alhamdulillah, it tastes better than ever.
Ingredients:
Method:
**To get rid of the fishy smell: before cooking the fish, do soak it in lime + salt + water for few minutes. Rinse it off with water ,next it's ready for cooking**
Enjoy! And do have a lovely meal with this recipe.. =)

Ingredients:
- Fish (You could use either barammundi @ seabass (siakap) , black/white pomfret (bawal).
Here I'd be using seabass. - 1 big onion ~ finely sliced
- 1 turmeric root (thumb sized) ~ finely chopped
- 1 thumb-sized ginger~ finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic~ finely chopped
- Few strands of spring onions~ chopped coarsely
- Few pinches of salt & pepper
- Prepare the steamer, add water, bring to boil.
- Put the fish onto a bowl/plate.
- Just simply sprinkle all the ingredients on top of it. You may add a squeeze of lemon juice to dampen the fishy smell.
- Place the bowl of fish into the steamer and wait for it to cook.
- In next to just few minutes you're ready for a meal. Easy & yummy!
