If this is your first visit here, you can read about YK Bee Pollen in either one of these articles:- Free radicals and supplements...> Immune system booster...> Before we move into the topic of this YK Bee Pollen, I'd like to invite you to dig a little bit into the history of 'me'.  As a kid, who knows nothing much but to pamper much of my sweet tooth's desires was a mistake, and since I really enjoyed the indulgence, the habit was brought up till I reached adolescence. Oh yeah, daily chocolate treats were no big deal for me and the toll was; toothaches! Not once..not twice..but countless of visits to the dentist finally left a scar of lesson in my head. Then I started to cut down on those sweet stuff. But other junk foods, such as crisps and fast foods were still on the list. My attention towards my health aroused when I first studied about MSG, additives, all sorts of chemicals and how they affect the body. However attentiveness wasn't enough, and I d

We have gone through the negative side of red meat. Now the obvious way of avoiding the health risks it possess is to cut down our intake of red meat, however in any circumstances that we cannot abstain ourselves from it, we could at least try to lessen the harmful effects packed with it, by injection or by overcooking(carcinogenic). It worth it. The Preggy Diet When we're carrying another(or two) living being inside of us, it's just like us. It's alive, eats and goes through metabolism and such like any normal

Easy steps to a Healthier You!

Image
Some of us finds difficulty in achieving a healthy life-style. Who's to blame? With all the temptations of mouth-watering desserts, easy-to-prepare can and instant foods, fast foods on the go, video games over exercising, there's just so much distractions. Kids get their habits by looking at their parents, and no matter how strictly you try to mold your  child for perfection, when you overlook your own flaws they'll never be flawless as youwish they would. I'm not going into parenting tips ,just a little reminder for parents and parents-to-be out there. If you want your child to eat and grow healthily, it's easy. You eat and live healthily, they'll digest it better and follow in your lead. If you are on the call for burgers every weekend and enjoying gassy beverages in the noon, don't aspect your kid not to. Wasn't that way off the topic? My apologies, drifted by the weather I guess. Okay, back to being healthy. There are a few simple tricks that are e

Food for the Brain

Image
Brain is one of the most vital organs in our body, if it's function is impaired, many other organs will be affected and if it's cells start to die, it's harder to regenerate, unlike the cells in other parts of our body. This is why it's important that we care for our brain's health as early as possible, to preserve it's youthfulness and to prevent brain-related disorders from succumbing us at age we could still flourish. One of the steps to keep our brain healthy is by consumption. So, my share for today will be on foods for a healthy, nourished and active brain. Act of Gratitude: What most of us are Lacking

Image
In ignorance, not many of us are aware how vital gratitude is, thus we ignore to acknowledge it, and as time passes on, we fall deeper and deeper into a deep hollow well where 'being thankful' becomes a stranger to us. I bet most of us are taught to feel grateful in life, to accept whatever happens and to live through challenges and obstacles. But, why nowadays, it seems that gratefulness is thinning  from our souls? Why do we forget to say ' Alhamdulillah" upon walloping a a triple-cheese burger for lunch. And do we even realize that with every single breath that we take, it's beyond our capacity. So, learn to be grateful. It's more than just thankfulness. I bet in most religion, it preaches towards feeling thankful and blessed at all times, however since I am a Muslim, I will be concentrating in my own religion. In Islam, the act of gratitude is also known as ' Syukur ', the opposite of that is ' kufr '. It is said that faith consists of two

Macaroni & Triple Cheese , Just like the old times...with a little bit more..

Image
Don't we all just love macaroni and cheese? I know I do. I love the sticky cheesy part most, when it comes hot, freshly baked from the oven. But as time moves on, one type of cheese is not enough, so, here's a recipe where three types of cheese are used to indulge ourselves with that creamy melts of cheese inside our mouths. Brings us back ages when we were just little kids, blissful, free and no problems would mess our heads. Yeah. Don't worry, we'll be using appropriate amounts of each one so that this meal wouldn't be burdening our health. There are instant packs available, but instant food? Making your own sounds more hearty and edible. It's a piece of cake, why would anyone go for the instant packs anyway. This recipe is free of any animal products, if you like you can add in chicken strips or tuna chunks.  Mozzarella,                   Parmesan,                    Cheddar. Ingredients: A bag of macaroni(Cooked al-dente ) 4 tablespoons of butter 1

An injured nervous system : Understanding Paraplegia

Image
Firstly, credits to Muslim Zulkepli for the suggestion on today's topic. What is paraplegia? Paraplegia is a type of paralysis, and as we all know, paralysis is the result of an injured nervous system. What differs these many-types of paralysis is the injured  spot in the spinal cord, it's severity and which mobilization in an individual is limited. In the case of paraplegia, it impairs mobility in lower extremities including organs located below the waistline, hands are not affected, when they are it's quadriplegia. Sometimes only leg movements are impaired but in some cases the legs lost total control and the paralysis degree may rise up till the chest area, depending on the severity of the injury. Spinal cord Looking at this diagram above, we can clearly see that paraplegia is the result of an injury to the thoracic nerves and below. Paraplegia may be the result of a physical injury, scoliosis, spinal tumors or a congenital disorder to the spine(spina bifida
