VCare Foaming Dew: Product review

Image
I mentioned this wonderful product before, you can check out about it in this article....> Anyway, I'll explain about it once more, here, in this current post I'm writing. This specially formulated facial cleanser is awesome! As I've been using it for the past few weeks, and honestly I'm satisfied with the outcome. My skin does feel smoother, softer and pimples? they're saying ta-ta. Waiting for more great results from this Vcare foaming dew. My first wash was already so mesmerizing, the scent of the VCare foaming dew drifts me off my feet, it smells sooo good! no kidding. (As Anthony Bourdain would put it: "I wish we have smell-O-vision to share the smells..haha, but he was talking about food, what else would he talk about..)  And you don't have to use too much of it, just a tiny squeeze of it, mix with water to expand it's mass and just do the cleansing stuff on your neck and face, believe me, the smell, exquisitely relaxing- had to go italic

Food Rules: an eater's manual

Image
I'm out of ideas on what should I write, so today I'm sharing a few vital points I've extracted from a book I recently read, a few months back(considered recent? hmm..) Okay, it's a book by Michael Pollan, titled Food Rules: an eater's manual . And the truth is, I don't even know who this guy is, never heard of him what-so-ever but I found out there are a few other books published written by him, so I'm the one out-dated, it's not him unpopular or anything. This book is quite interesting, and different from any other books I've read. It's on, well, as the title suggest, food, more precise is choosing the kind right of food and how to distinguish between what really can be classified under the label 'food' and what should be under the label 'plastic'. Though it isn't a lengthy read, I won't be sharing every single word as he wrote it, this would be a synopsis of it sort, this will be my edition of food rules, just as long

Try this simple recipe: Avocado fruit salad

Ingredients 1 Avocado, cubed 1 Mango, cubed 1 red apple, cubed 1 banana, cubed 1 kiwi, cubed A quarter of red cabbage, thinly sliced A quarter of ordinary cabbage, thinly sliced A handful of grapes(your choice) Mayonnaise (enough to cover the lot) A bit of salt and brown sugar A dash of apple cider vinegar Method Just throw everything in a bowl, mix them up and tadaa, eating time! Hehe..this is not laziness, this is healthy with the many fruits involved. So, try it out will you? Till we meet again, bon apetit and good evening to all. Salam.

Health Benefits of Avocado

Image
The first time I had an avocado in my hands, I wasn't enthusiastic. "What should I do with this thing?" I thought, it's all greenish outside and cutting it into halves to see, greenish flesh, appealing? not really, but those were the days when I never cared about what I ate, as long as it's a pleasure to my taste buds, it's a pleasure to me. And that avocado, didn't qualify for my consumption. So, now I know better, and I tried out the avocado(finally..), it isn't that bad, it's a bit oily and tastes buttery, it gets better when made into a salad. If you haven't try it already, I suggest you do. Now, the best part, the health benefits!:- Lowers cholesterol , thanks to it's omega 3 fatty acid content. Improves heart health , again because of the omega 3 fatty acid, glutathione and Vitamin E. Prevents oral, breast & prostate cancer . It contains oleic acid which is related in preventing cancerous cells from sprouting. It has a high

Types of water(part 3): The water is clean, but....

Image
Okay, we're done with living water, let's check out the opposite...dead? I've no idea what it's called, it's just not alive. Here's what I found; reverse osmosis and distilled. Both are very clean but way too clean, no germs, no minerals. Just water. Bad? No. Good? Not sure. But upon my findings, drinking living water brings much benefits for our health, the opposite type of water does not cure nor does it heals. It just water. Distillation and R.O. is made just like we did those water experiments in school, at least I did. Lab work that took hours for tiny bits of water...turns out it's not the best end product we'd yearned for. And before I forget, boiled water. R.O, distilled and boiled water. RO: If you understand how osmotic pressure works, you'll get how reverse osmosis works. First, let's look at a normal osmosis-a semipermeable membrane with tiny pores is placed to diffuse water apart from ions (sodium, chloride and calcium, etc..incl

Types of water(part 2); The water that heals, InsyaAllah...

This is part 2, please click here to be redirected to part 1...> Okay, moving on with water. As I mentioned living water- that is capable of changing it's water structure by reacting to its surrounding, and this is an upper hand for us. We can influence the water, InsyaAllah , so that it becomes a healthy and curative drink instead of just a thirst quencher. ZamZam Water The zamzam well which is located in the land of Arabia, Makah is a blessing [1] . Not only it flows endlessly to supply the residents with fresh water but it contains magnificent minerals to improve our health, if we desire so [2] . It is said that when a person drinks zamzam water, hunger is not felt.As proven  by Abu Dharr(ra) who had survived only on zamzam water while he stayed in Makkah for a month. Zamzam water improves mental health and memorization, cures physical illnesses and heart-related disturbances, insyaAllah when we pray for it's outcome onto our body. It is also associated with:- h

Types of water (Part 1) - Living water, it's alive!

Just as we need air to breathe, water is needed just as much to keep on surviving. We drink everyday, but do we even know what are we really drinking, does the water possess minerals that could benefit our health or  the opposite? I just found out myself, the many types of water around us and I think it's an interesting fact that is unknown to many. Water are not all the same, and some contains magnificent effects unlike any other water. There are water that are clean, purified through filtering and lots of other methods to clear up the existing microorganisms and dirt. But wait, too clean is not the best, it isn't the worst either. It's downside is just it's lack of minerals and healing properties that is left attached without much cleansing processes. I'd like to start things off by introducing you to 'living water' , heard of it? Dr. Masaru Emoto, from  Japan wrote a book titled 'The hidden messages in water' , that explains criteria possesse

Benefits of water... just plain water.

Water composition in the human body The importance of water is realized by most of us, yet neglected by many. Knowing the vital roles of water in our body isn't enough, when many of us are still not getting sufficient amount of daily hydration. I've mentioned in one of my articles, Drink more water , that the human body consists of 75% of water(more or less). It means that more than half of our body is made up of water and thrives on water. This is why we need to gulp down more water. Fad food and an unhealthy lifestyle are possibly the most blamed for sprouted diseases, did any of us ever thought that lack of water can be one of the determining factors of an illness? Well, it does. In fact, it does more than just preserving good health and curbing illnesses, waters plays numerous vital roles in our body, including:- Assists healing processes. Aids digestion. Enhance mental capacity & alertness. Nourishes cells and tissues. Improves blood circulation and nutrient d

Challenged by Calamities

Image
Life is not bland. And it will never be. We are due for adventures, joy, sorrow, hardship and lots more of the unexpected. We may put effort in building our dreams and shaping our future but things really are, not within our means. We can try, however, whatever the consequences that may arise should be accepted with an open heart, when we don't this is when our emotions take control. Everyone will face a moment struggle, and it's really just a tiny matter, unless we let it become big. Bear in mind that you are not the only one dealing with difficulties and challenges, everyone has to go through it and some have even worse agendas on their list. Don't make a fuss over small matters. Problems do have resolutions and hardship are meant to strengthen our souls. Emotions aren't great leaders, and at times of heart aches or faced with calamities, it maneuvers terribly. And allowing it to guide you, seems far from wisdom. What are considered challenges? What is pneumonia?

Image
Pneumonia isn't a stranger no more. Thanks to it's many appearance in and out of the hospitals, we all have heard it, well, I think most of us have. Pneumonia is a an illness which is related to the lungs and the respiratory system. What happens in the case of a pneumonia is the alveoli gets inflamed and the lungs are flooded with fluid. What causes pneumonia? There are a few possibilities that may pneumonia to occur:- Chemical injury to the lungs (directly or indirectly), inhalation of corrosive chemicals or toxic smoke from a fire. Diseases, including alcohol abuse and lung cancer. Infections that can be associated with parasites( toxoplasma gondii, stronsyloides stercoralis & ascariasis ), fungi, bacterial or viral infection. These airborne microorganisms enters through inhalation and invades cell linings of airways and alveoli, leading to cell death by directly murdering the cell or persuading apoptosis(Cells attempts a suicide).  In the case of a viral infectio

Oprah : reading to your unborn baby

Image
Why is Oprah's name up there? Just because I kind of borrowed this info from Oprah.com , where I go for visits now and then to scoop up valuable knowledge. So, today I found out about reading to an unborn child, and I think it's an interesting  point that may have been neglected by many preggy mommies out there,so I though I'd share it. (These questions are answered by Dr. Oz and Dr. Michael Roizen) The situation: Does the unborn child hears anything from the outside? When we read or talk to him, does it affects the baby significantly?  A: Don't be surprised but they do, loud, ear-banging stereos are surely to be heard, other sorts of sounds that seeps through bones ans tissues are also being heard by them. By the 24th week they are able to recognize their mother's voice and it's what make it calm. Pregnant mothers are strongly advice to talk to their growing child as this helps to enhance it's mental/ brain developments and kick starts the baby's
