Baby's health; From itchy rash to healthy pinkish skin.

Rashes and skin inflammations are common among newborns. But this is no reason for parents to ignore any skin conditions that affects their little baby. Sometimes it could lead to serious complications. Some of the rashes are harmless and fades gradually but some are not. So,once you notice the appearance of any sorts of rash on your child, take action to treat it, if it gets better then it's fine, if it doesn't or if it worsen, help is probably needed. There are some perspective don't recommend too much of western medical attention to minor baby illnesses as the effect of drugs may blunt their developing immune system and could cause a weak body constituent later in life. Here's a story about Mrs. Alia. She is very pregnant with her due date just around the corner. This would be her first child, she is very excited yet anxious at the same time. During her pregnancy she took supplements and additional vitamins but her diet had no improvisation compared to when she had no

Vitamin K-The clotting factor

Image
Vitamin K is essentially needed for blood to clot. It doesn't simply, unnecessarily clots up our blood flow. What it means is it aids clotting processes where an open wound is at. When a bleeding wound(either in or outside the body) doesn't stop flowing, it'll be fatal. So, with adequate amount of vitamin K in our body helps the bleeding to stop so healing processes can start, soon the wound will be no longer visible. This is why in the hospitals, vitamin K is prescribed for those who will undergo surgery or for those giving birth. To aid clotting at their wounded site. In some cases where the body couldn't meet it's need for vitamin K, complications may occur. Like I said before, when you're bleeding it can be fatal. What else does vitamin K does to the body? :- Assist absorption of calcium. Prevents loss of bone density. Prevents hardening of arteries & cuts risks for heart diseases. Prevents cancer. I don't think many of us realize the existence of vitamin F, that includes me. Vitamin E - Offering more than just antioxidants

Image
Vitamin E is known for its anti-aging factor. Just like Vitamin C,it is a powerful antioxidant that retards aging, thus promotes an anti-aging quality. Have you noticed? People these days are going on the hunt for anti-aging products. Are they scared of getting old? If you do want to grow old gracefully,it's not just about scoffing on Vitamins E or C,per se, it's more on how you lead your life. A poorly managed stressful life would wear your body down hastily even if you did took vitamin E supplements on a daily basis. Vitamins, all plays a vital role but remember everything, in every perspective needs attention, the whole system works in a synergistic manner. Imagine a brand new car, without fuel, would it run? Or would it be possible for an ignition to occur with a tank filled superfluously yet the engine has rotten? Answer for yourself. Okay, done with the lecture. Moving on with the main topic.Star of the day; Vitamin E. It is a fat soluble vitamin, therefore it is found in

Vitamin D-a buddy for calcium

Image
Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin (including vitamins A,E & K). It's a steroid vitamin which assists in assimilation of calcium, phosphorus & other minerals from the digestive tract. Without sufficient amount, calcium especially is unable to be absorbed & used by the body. Did you know that by exposing yourself in the morning sun(7a.m.-10a.m) you body reacts with the heat to produce vitamin D,thus supplements wouldn't be so necessary. However, I don't recommend it these days as the ozone layer is exhausted with loopholes that retards it's barrier functions against harmful rays of the sun. Vitamin D exists in various forms, D1,D2,D3,D4 & D5. The popular ones would be D2(ergocalciferol) & D3(cholecalciferol). Here are some other Vitamin D facts that benefits our well-being:- Regulates calcium level in blood. For proper formation of teeth & bones. Prevents tooth decay. Prevents rickets & pyorrhea. Regulates the immune system. For hea

Vitamin C(ascorbic acid) - From healthy gums to healthy organs

Image
Vitamin C plays a big role in our body, obtained through food & unfortunately isn't stored in the body. So, you must take daily meals containing vitamin C, if you appreciate its benefits that is. Recently, Vitamin C is associated with anti-wrinkles programs. How far is the truth? Well, the fact is that it can reduce or prevent wrinkles formation due to its antioxidant properties which fights off the premature aging factor, free radicals and its capability to produce collagen in the body, which is essential for healthy tissue repair and regeneration not only in the skin but in the joints, muscles, blood vessels, cartilage and elsewhere in the body. But wait, the injection type doesn't serve the body as well as natural food sources. Eat your food well to get the nutrients, synthetic vitamins would probably place your health in danger, even the effects may seem marvelous in the short term, the side effects could possibly be irreversible. What more does vitamin C has to offer:-

Diabetes : Healing an unruly wound, testified.

Image
Diabetes is well-known by many of us, I'm sure. It's gaining popularity like an epidemic virus attack, maybe it is. Who knows? Well, it's all over the place, consuming who ever it wants to. Diabetes exists in two forms, the adolescent diabetes(type 1) which is an autoimmune disorder & Diabetes mellitus(type 2), the age-related disorder. Both types are due to a lack of insulin production by the pancreas, an endocrine gland, however the reasons for a deteriorating pancreas differs. The type 1 is congenital and requires a lifetime supply of insulin, treatable? Doubtful, but if God willing(insyaAllah), nothing is impossible. Type 2 is due to old age or other factors that gradually exhaust the pancreas until it no longer has the capability to fully perform its duty, left untreated it may eventually shut down. Please take note that diabetes takes years to build up in our bodies, take care of your body before the illness can invade our body, once it is in, to take it out will
