What is babywearing?

Image
A simple question. A simple answer. What is babywearing? Well, it's to wear your baby! Heheh mind me if you find loops & holes in my explanation. I just found out about this recently but yes, I do love it & the idea is even better. Babywearing is not a modern act. As we can remember natives from history books..there are pictures of them, with their kids tied up on their back using all sorts of suitable materials, mostly using fabrics, cotton-like materials to wrap their kid on wherever suitable part of their body. And as they have already tied their kid securely, they can move about doing chores hands-free. Back then, our ancestors, wear their baby for convenience purposes, I don't know if they were aware the many benefits babywearing has to offer to both mum & child. I will briefly list down the awesome side of babywearing, but again I remind you, I am a noob in this field and my knowledge is limited. I'm sharing from wht I've learned. InsyaAllah I'll...

Oprah : reading to your unborn baby

Image
Why is Oprah's name up there? Just because I kind of borrowed this info from Oprah.com , where I go for visits now and then to scoop up valuable knowledge. So, today I found out about reading to an unborn child, and I think it's an interesting  point that may have been neglected by many preggy mommies out there,so I though I'd share it. (These questions are answered by Dr. Oz and Dr. Michael Roizen) The situation: Does the unborn child hears anything from the outside? When we read or talk to him, does it affects the baby significantly?  A: Don't be surprised but they do, loud, ear-banging stereos are surely to be heard, other sorts of sounds that seeps through bones ans tissues are also being heard by them. By the 24th week they are able to recognize their mother's voice and it's what make it calm. Pregnant mothers are strongly advice to talk to their growing child as this helps to enhance it's mental/ brain developments and kick starts the baby's...

Here comes nourishment : revealing the benefits of Yung Kien Bee Pollen

Image
If this is your first visit here, you can read about YK Bee Pollen in either one of these articles:- Free radicals and supplements...> Immune system booster...> Before we move into the topic of this YK Bee Pollen, I'd like to invite you to dig a little bit into the history of 'me'.  As a kid, who knows nothing much but to pamper much of my sweet tooth's desires was a mistake, and since I really enjoyed the indulgence, the habit was brought up till I reached adolescence. Oh yeah, daily chocolate treats were no big deal for me and the toll was; toothaches! Not once..not twice..but countless of visits to the dentist finally left a scar of lesson in my head. Then I started to cut down on those sweet stuff. But other junk foods, such as crisps and fast foods were still on the list. My attention towards my health aroused when I first studied about MSG, additives, all sorts of chemicals and how they affect the body. However attentiveness wasn't enough, and I d...

Healthy Snacks for healthier Kids

Image
I bet parents out there are worried when handing over snacks for their little ones. Too much salt, too much sugar and to much of all the bad stuff. As a parent myself, I am uncomfortable giving my child what comes from the store, many of the food items are not healthy, contains too much of weird ingredients that may be indigestible and sprouts obesity. So, I made a research (self-reading only) for healthy snacks that could be substitutes for the over-junk contained foods, that claims to contain vitamins, minerals and whatever they claim to have. No offense, but my curiosity tells me to make my own kid-friendly snacks for my kid.Try your best to start your kids early on healthy snacks and avoid junk foods, once in a while treat is okay. Go for chocolates, the dark ones the better. Take a look at what I found. 1.Cheese, milk and yogurt. These three are great snacking products, as they contain protein and calcium that is essential for children's growth and stronger bones. Cut ch...

Image
Are you having enough sleep? Are you sleeping well? Are you sleeping at the right hours? I did wrote on sleep in my article, sleep like a baby . However, I'd like to mention this topic once more as I think not many of our eyes are open to why is it so important to get; 1)enough sleep, 2)sleep at the right time 3)benefits of sleeping. I know, understand and experience it myself, deprivation of sleeping. But, I hope to sleep better in the future, I sure you hope to do so too. The long hours of unachievable sleep will take a toll on our health. Have you ever wonder why we have day and night? The days are lighten up by the sun, as a signal to wake up and work, for activities to be done while the nights are dark, only dimmed light from the moon is available, a sign for us to slow down, go back home and the vital part, sleeping. Even as moms with newborn or older babies, I think it is important that we train our little children that night time is sleeping time, be discipline and te...

Protein Power

Image
It's a known fact that we need protein in our diet. It's an essential factor for tissue healing, cell regeneration, provides energy, and hormon production. Protein is required all over the body, especially in the growth of new tissues and cells. We can obtain our daily requirement of protein from a lot of sources ; red meat, chicken, fishes and soya beans. The best source would be either fish, fresh is better compared to frozen or soya beans. Why? Generally chickens and red meat are polluted with antibiotics, fat and hormones whereas it could do more harm than good to our body's constitution, free range products exceptional. What are you feeding your kids with? Are they getting enough of the nutrients and nutrition needed? Whatever the answer may be,we must be aware. Kids dietary habits are not just what you feed them, it's what you're feeding yourself when you have an embryo developing inside of you. Most of us know that the most vital part of our pregnancy is the first trimester, this obviously states that our eating habits at this particular stage greatly affects the growth of our baby.  So, if you really are seriously serious on keeping your child in the pink of health, don't wait till they're out here, visibly in front of your own eyes. You must start to eat wisely when you conceive( Even before you're pregnant it's important that you eat good food, let's say you hadn't, make your baby the reason to start).  The organs and body parts of our little babies all starts in the womb, it just makes sense that if we're providing them with enough nutrition they will grow hea...
